Event Description

Dec. 21, 2017 - Christmas is nearly upon us, but first the winter solstice brings us the longest night of the year. Join us for a celebration intended to fill that long night with light and laughter, and to spread the warmth and cheer of community! This celebration welcomes all—young and old, individuals and families—to enjoy a stress-free evening of live music, storytelling and refreshments. This evening is the culmination of Prairiewoods’ Hosting Hope: An Advent Prayer & Community Sharing Series (Nov. 30–Dec. 21), but you are invited to attend even if you haven’t participated in that series. There will be activities for children, including decorating an outdoor tree with edible ornaments for the Prairiewoods animals! Weather permitting, some activities may be outdoors, so bring your hats and mittens. The cost is $7 per person (free for children 13 and under).
