Apr. 13 & 27, 2020 - In the cosmic experience, drumming touches us at a deep level and brings all creation together as a community. Especially now, when our external and internal worlds can be so polarized, communication that bears witness to creative love is very important. Drumming—and feeling the Creator’s rhythm inside of us—resonates with a variety of people. All racial, economic, denominational and other differences can disappear when a group of people share rhythm. We are invited to join facilitator Sheri Mealhouse (Hawkwoman) at Prairiewoods (120 East Boyson Road in Hiawatha) on the second and fourth Monday of each month for a healing drum circle. As we prayerfully listen to other drummers in order to make music, the whole group becomes one! No experience is necessary. Bring your own drum or use one of ours. This drum circle will meet near the pond south of the Center if the weather is nice or in the Art Room during inclement weather. A free-will offering to the facilitator is accepted at the door. For more information or to register, contact Prairiewoods at www.Prairiewoods.org or 319-395-6700.
