Medical Qigong is the application of qigong for medical purposes. The practitioner assists the patient by redirecting, cleansing and restoring the the patient's vital energy based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine. During a medical qigong treatment, the patient generally lies or sits on the treatment table while the practitioner uses various medical qigong protocols to perform the healing procedure. Often the patient will feel certain things happening in the body, both on a physica, emotional and energetic level.  There are no invasive techniques used and little to no physical touching is required.
